V Solanki and A Seth had a small but important 58 run partnership taking the score to 94. Solanki 49(55) was denied his 50 as he looked to steal 2 runs but fell short. A small cameo by Bhatt 12(5) took Baroda to 120 in 20 Overs.

The chase was set with openers adding 26 runs in 3.5 overs. Nishanth 35(38) provided a perfect foundation for his team. Aparajith showed his all-round capabilities by scoring 29(35) after an economic spell in the 1 st innings. With a 34 runs partnership with DK 22(16), TN inched closer too victory. A small cameo from Shahrukh Khan 18(7) ensured a victory with 2 overs to spare. This also means that TN has finished the tournament unbeaten.

After a 1 run loss in the finals last year, this victory meant a lot for TN players. With a lot of big players missing from both the teams, some new talents have surfaced at the right time before the auctions and would be interesting to see who gets a go at the IPL.
