Maxwell, Finch and Philippe take AUS past 200

Finch and Maxwell were going through a rough patch this series. Questions were asked to them by experts worldwide. But these match winners once again proved their worth in a do or die situation. They lost Wade 5(6) early in the innings but an 83 runs partnership between Finch 69(44) and Philippe 43(27) gave them a strong foundation for a big total. After the dismissal of Philippe, it was all the power of Maxwell. He struck 5 sixes and 8 boundaries scoring 70 in just 31 deliveries. RCB fans too will be happy seeing Maxwell back in form. Australia ended with 208 runs on the board loosing just 4 wickets.

Ashton Agar brings AUS back in the series

To chase anything above 200 is always a difficult task in T20Is. The scoreboard pressure seemed to crawl up in the minds of the hosts. Guptill 43(28) was continuing his form but wickets of Seifert 4(4) and Williamson 9(6) fell in quick succession. He had a small partnership with Conway 38(27) but when things started to look good for NZ, Ashton Agar completely demolished the middle order. NZ went from 109/4 to 144/10 thanks to a 6-wicket haul from Agar. Other bowlers too complimented him well with Meredith, Zampa and Richardson among the wicket charts.

The series is back to life again with Australia climbing up the stairs. With 2 more matches to go NZ just need 1 win to seal the series but Australia too has all of the chances to make a comeback. Australia win by 64 runs.
