It’s the match between the finalists of the 2016 Finals and the beginning of yet another hopeful season for RCB with the chants of “Ee Sala Cup Namdev” echoing amongst their fans.

RCB – A SHOT AT REDEMPTION

RCB finished last, sixth and last again in the previous three seasons respectively.

CAN RCB LOOK BEYOND KOHLI AND ABD?

Strong Foreign Contingent

RCB for starters have built a good lot of overseas players other than AB De Villiers. Players like Aaron Finch, Adam Zampa, Chris Morris, Moeen Ali and others will hopefully remove some pressure from the shoulders of Kohli and AB.

The Pressure of Price Tag for Morris

RCB spent a whopping 10 crores to rope in Chris Morris as a desperate move to try to find a player who can bowl at the death (which has continued to be their struggle since years now) and also finish the innings with the bat. Will Morris live up to the expectations?

SRH – THE UNDERDOGS OF THE IPL

Hardly anyone sights SRH as favourites to win the title ever. But their performance has been consistent in the last seasons. They won in 2016 and finished second in 2018.

BIG GUNS NEED TO FIRE FOR SRH

A lot depends on Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Ever since his return from the injury, Bhuvi has not been able to hit the purple patch. With him being the only premium death bowler in the SRH squad, his bowling could well decide SRH’s fate in this year’s IPL.

Warner – The new Mr. IPL?

In the last 5 years, Warner has won the orange cap thrice in the last 5 seasons but his recent form against England wasn’t great. SRH will need their captain to be the kind of player that he has been in the IPL till now.

No Kane in the side?

SRH has got a tough choice to make. If they play Warner and Bairstow at the top (which is very likely), and Rashid then they can choose only one between Kane and Nabi. SRH also has a thin lower order batting so Nabi could inch over Kane in this regard.
