Watto’s farewell message to the super fans
Former Australia all-rounder and Chennai super kings opener Shane Wastson (Watto’s) has officially announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. He officially declared it by giving a farewell message in a video. In which he addressed the super fans of CSK and thanked them for their love and support. Addressing the super fans he said “I’m just so grateful, the last 3 years have been one of the highlights of my career”. Watto had already informed about his decision to the CSK management. After their last match against KXIP on Sunday which they had won comfortably. Shane Watson had played some brilliant knocks for CSK in the last few seasons. He played a huge role in CSK’s success in the last few seasons. Few of his most notable knocks include his century against SRH in the 2018 IPL final.
Also his fighting knock against MI in the final match of last year where he played with a bleeding knee. Before playing in front of the super fans of CSK. Watto was also part of teams like RR and RCB. He also played a huge role in RR’s maiden title in 2008. Although he had an odd 2020 season of IPL but yet Watto has been on of the shining icons of IPL. As he scored around 3874 runs and also picked 145 wickets in IPL matches. Watto had retired from International cricket in 2015. After which he was playing only franchise based cricket. He announced his retirement from BBL last year and now he has announced retirement from IPL as well. Watto’s farewell message for his super fans has also been posted by CSK in their twitter handle.
